Kavalan Solist Ex-Bourbon Single Malt is a high-quality whisky produced by the Kavalan Distillery in Taiwan.
- Solist Series: As part of the Solist series, the Solist Ex-Bourbon is a single cask whisky, known for its unique flavors resulting from the individual cask selection.
- Ex-Bourbon Cask Maturation: This single malt is exclusively aged in ex-bourbon casks, which are oak barrels previously used to mature bourbon whiskey. These casks contribute to the whisky's distinct vanilla, caramel, and oak characteristics.
- No Age Statement: The Solist Ex-Bourbon typically does not carry an age statement, indicating that the whisky's age may vary depending on the specific cask used for maturation.
- Flavor Profile: The whisky is recognized for its smooth and well-balanced flavor profile, often featuring notes of tropical fruits, vanilla, honey, and a gentle spiciness.
- Cask Strength: It is bottled at cask strength, meaning it is not diluted with water before bottling, allowing the whisky to retain its full intensity and natural flavors.
- Limited Availability: Like other whiskies in the Solist series, Solist Ex-Bourbon is produced in limited quantities, adding to its exclusivity and appeal among whisky enthusiasts.
