Ernesto Perez-Carrillo is famous for his dedication to creating innovative, often powerful cigar blends that find harmony in strength, body, and taste. Perez-Carrillo carries that passion over to one of his richest, most complex smokes yet, the EP Carrillo Pledge Prequel. This exceptional 98-rated 5" x 50 Robusto cleaned up the awards circuit, winning numerous Cigar of the Year awards while captivating cigar lovers along the way.
The EP Carrillo Pledge Prequel is fashioned out of select Nicaraguan filler tobaccos, which are expertly assembled and tucked inside an Ecuadorian binder. A special Cuban-seed USA Connecticut Habano wrapper completes the package, which delivers a bold, complex, and beautifully smooth smoke of just under an hour.
The Pledge Prequel offers up layer after layer of richly textured flavors that fall serenely over the palate with ease. Lively pepper, cedar, herbal, earth, and spice notes kick off the experience, which gradually gives way to titillating dashes of chocolate, licorice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and berry flavors. Coffee, citrus, and leather hints lead the way during the backend. An outstanding finish wraps it all up with lasting taste and complexity.
Once smoke begins streaming through Pledge Prequel's exceptional draw, it becomes easy to understand why the cigar garners so much acclaim. The EP Carrillo Pledge Prequel is a classic that ranks among the best full-bodied smokes in recent memory.
